Your 10 year old started earning from his first baby venture and needs your support, he needs your encouragement and guidance but instead you ask him to pay for rent and groceries as he is earning now.

Isn’t it too early to tax IT industry of Pakistan? Is it a wise decision to kill a growing industry and create hurdles for entrepreneurs and freelancers in IT sector? Is it wise to cap an industry in millions which is destined to be billion dollar industry for the country. It’s fine to take a decision about an industry without taking on board experts from that industry? Where is the vision of Digital Pakistan and creating ease of doing business, are these the steps to make IT business easy for Pakistani freelancers and software houses? Why such immature decision from such an esteemed organisation of Pakistan?

After decades of wait, we are finally on the road to become the next IT outsourcing destination, still lagging behind dozens of countries but with more efforts we can become a powerhouse of IT services and products, but such naive steps will pull us years back again, every step needs to be discussed on national level, as its not just a department taking a decision and will affect another department, its the matter of national economy.

A request to FBR, P@sha, PSEB, PM Office, Ministry of Finance, and all authorities whose primary job is make Pakistan great and working for economic growth of Pakistan, Please take every decision wisely, as we can not miss the boat this time, we will be left alone on the island and in stone ages.
